FAQs

How far in advance should I place my order?

For celebration cakes:

Placing your orders at least 4 weeks in advance will be ideal. Unfortunately rush orders will not be accepted.

Please make sure I'm available BEFORE submitting an inquiry by checking this calendar. Available dates are indicated with "Available for orders" or a small light green dot on mobile devices. Blank dates mean I'm unavailable to take orders.

For weddings:

Placing your orders at least 6 months in advance will be ideal. Wedding related questions are answered HERE.

How do I place an order?

After design details & pricing is agreed upon, an invoice with your order summary will be sent.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your order. Order is only confirmed after the non-refundable deposit is received.

Where are you located?

Cozy Oven Cake Shop is not a storefront bakery. I operate from my independent kitchen in Downtown Toronto (Bay & College Street). I'm Food Handler Certified in the province of Ontario, Canada.

Do you deliver or can I pickup?

DELIVERIES:

For larger orders, deliveries are available through a third-party cake delivery service. Price depends on the size of the order and delivery distance. Delivery fee costs between $55-$150.

 

PICKUP:

Pickup will be around Bay and College street. A map with pickup location, information, and tips will be sent after full payment is received or when requested.

 

You can safely transport chilled cakes and cupcakes in the boxes provided. Please keep your car temperature cool, buttercream cakes are more stable when cold. Please place cakes on a flat, level surface such as floor of passenger seat. Drive carefully and be cautious when going around turns and bumps.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require a minimum notice of 7 days prior to pickup and 30 days for weddings. Your 50% deposit is non-refundable.

 

No refunds will be provided for orders that are cancelled with less than 7 days notice due to costs incurred by the initiation of an order.

What if I want to make changes to my order?

Any changes made to your order within 7 days of collection may incur a surcharge, depending on the change requested. In most cases changes can be accommodated, however there are times it will not possible. However, I will endeavour to accommodate you to the best of my ability.

Do you accomodate dietary restrictions?

Some products contain nuts or nut extracts. My baked goods are made in one kitchen, and may not be suitable for those with nut allergies. Apologies I don't offer gluten-free nor dairy-free options. 

What is your payment method?

Payment instructions are found on the invoice. Payments will be made with email transfer.
